Hoodoo History

Hey everyone! Today me and my friends were on a walk when we spotted a beautiful flowering tree. We stopped and took pictures and took a couple sprigs home.

Thinking about how Jatohn says that hoodoo should be based in history, i Google “tulip tree black history.” I was happy to find the following article about how a particular tulip tree was used as a marker on the Underground Railroad.

I am definitely going to familiarize myself with the characteristics of the tree’s flowers, roots, bark, and leaves. If you feel drawn to a plant while out in nature, I definitely recommend researching it this way.
