I’ve noticed my ancestors reaching out to me with smells. Like when they want something from me, or want me to do something I’ll smell something related to my altar. Is that an experience others have?

I’ve noticed my ancestors reaching out to me with smells. Like when they want something from me, or want me to do something I’ll smell something related to my altar. Is that an experience others have?
it’s not super prominent for me but i’ve smelled things they wanted, scents they wear/liked, & i have smelled disgusting things in relation to energy.
