To the Graveyard

I wanted to come talk a bit about these Retrograde energies and how we can stand firm in them. So often I feel like we have to we have no control over the outcomes we see in divination or astrological placements. We have to remember that things like divination and Astrology are meant to be road maps. You have every right to choose which direction you would like to go to get to your goal or to change your goal completely if you decide!

That is what Hoodoo is truly all about--being able to tilt fortune in your favor.

Retrogrades aren't opposite energy. They are meant to bring a period where one can reflect inwardly. And being forced to face truths about your possible shortcomings can incite shadow based reactions in people. If you have already been doing your own shadow work that has to deal with a specific planetary Retrograde, you will not feel as impacted by it.

For example, Mercury ( the mind, communication, adaptability) retrograding through Aries (ones physical being, taking action to achieve goals) may ask you to focus on learning a new skillset. If you have already been doing your own shadow work that has to deal with a specific planetary Retrograde, you will not feel as impacted by it.

While being secure in yourself is definitely the goal, that does not stop the fact that during these times you will have to deal with people who aren't in as secure place as you. And many can use these time to cross boundaries, lash out or just be toxic in a numerous amount of ways. These interactions still effect your day to day. But you don't have to just allow this sort of energy to radiate around you, you can transmute it in your favor.

Also as a reminder, this is a reversal! So while yes, we are transmuting, whoever is sending negative energy your way will feel the same backlash they are giving out. For example, if we are transmuting slander into money in your pocket, the person speaking slanderous against you, will become short on cash.

So let's talk about this work!

Mercury rules over communication, crossroads and ideas/thoughts. So here is a simple way to use the Magician Card to make sure any haters are filling up your pockets.

You will need:

• a white or clear plate/saucer

• a clear stemmed glass

• the Magician Card (can be printed out)

• a single dollar bill

• Agrimony (herb)

• Basil (herb)

• Cinnamon (herb)

• a blue chime candle

1. Cleanse the plate and glass.

2. Fill the glass with water.

3. Place the dollar bill over the top then the glass plate on top.

4. Place the Magician Card on the table.

5. You then want to flip the plate with the glass over. It is within the flipping action that you are transmuting the energy.

6. Then sprinkle the Agrimony, Basil, and Cinnamon around the outside of the glass, but on top of the plate.

7. Place a blue candle on top and let it burn all the way through. While the candle burns you want to state your intentions of having all negative words spoken about you bring growth to your abundance.

Now here is the best part. You can do this with ALL planetary energies. For example, let's say you want to use this Venus Retrograde to help birth a new project. Place the Empress Card under the plate, fill the cup with water and pomegranate seeds (represents fertility) and a green candle on top.

Hope this gives some insight and helps you understand how you can use these retrogrades in your favor! Also I suggest you take a look at your own birth charts and work with Retrograde energy in your chart.
