Ancestors Far Away
I am experiencing a new phenomenon with my ancestor altar.
Every time I go to my altar, I divine and ask if my ancestors would like their stable offerings refreshed (water, gin, etc). Usually my ancestors will request the water to be refreshed every 4 or 8 days.
However, it has been 2 weeks since my ancestors requested to have the water changed. The last time I asked, I noticed the candle I use to activate the altar was burning very weakly. I divined and found that my ancestors were far from me; they had to take their energy elsewhere for an undisclosed reason.
They did say they would return with blessings so I am going to have faith and trust. But it’s a bit unnerving to see my water getting cloudy on the altar. The only thing they requested to be refreshed last time was their gin. Has anyone ever dealt something like this? How did you continue your practice through this time?
Hello all. My Mom transitioned Nov 1, 2020. My Dad transitioned July 9, 1990. My eldest Brother transitioned November 16, 2003. My Brotherspirit has always been very quiet, since his transition, but I've always been aware that he is near, same with my Dad, although I could hear my Dad more than my Brother and their smile (seems to be combined), I always see their smiles together. It wasn't until My Mom transitioned that my Dad became very loud. lol (he's quieter now) but I could hear him loud and clear and for quite a while. My brother even came closer to me, still quiet. My Mom speaks to me often. a few months ago, she told me she had to leave, but she returned the next day. She comes and goes, sometimes, but most mornings she is definitely here; she has omnipresence. She has touched me, she has kissed my forehead (same as I use to kiss her forehead). She wants me to continue to do those things we shared together (and I do) she lives within. My Mom told me not to cry because she is right here. Our Ancestors feel our emotions. Spirits, Ancestors are very much alive, just a different living form. If you can hear them then you are blessed with a strong mind's eye (3rd eye) to listen.
